Although the formal part of this educational journey in obtaining a Master of Education (Teacher Librarian) is nearly at fruition, my learning journey will continue as I work on establishing my Professional Learning Network and continuing to improve my teaching practice to benefit student learning outcomes. Just last term, my principal sent this video: Redesigning learning and teaching: A case study for change to all staff (NSWDET, 2016). It really resonated with me because it reinforces how we as teachers need to continue to learn and grow for the benefit of our students.
From being absolutely petrified of technology and not even knowing about avatars, my final ETL523 blog post reflects the confident, experimenting, connected, collaborative and creative TL that I have the potential to be. Most important is to keep learning, changing, growing, reflecting and participating passionately in digital and print education to support classroom teacher practice and encourage active student learning.
